So we are now in Oslo for the second night and about to make a few cocktails in our hotel room, which is small but amazingly comfortable (less the moulan rouge music playing at 3:30 am across the street) Matt and I went to our respective bachelor/bachelorette parties last night after about 20 hours of travel and no sleep to speak of, WEEEEEEEE! I think the boys did a better job of hitting the town... and the bottle, but we gals certainly had our fun.
Today we went to a castle, a beautiful park with 212 statues, which took three men 14 years and a government-commissioned workplace absolutely gorgeous, and the Edvard Munch museum. I embarrassed myself quite well when I got very upset the the original Scream was not present, only to find out it was stolen two years ago and all of Norway is rather upset it is gone, as well. Tonight we went to a grille-fest so everyone from scotland, norway and america could gather before the wedding in a casual setting to get to know eachother. Sylvia's sisters are so fun, their spouses funny and entertaining. And with so many wonderful Norwegian cousins, aunts and uncles, we are very excited about the wedding tomorrow.
I have been extremely trigger-happy with the camera, and matt got trigger-happy with taking pictures of trigger-happy people. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful Norway is, even from the plane so I will try to let these pictures speak. I am blown away.
